Since the fault lies with the server company entirely and there's nothing we can do about it it's a little frustrating to watch so many members raging about bugged games. It's not like we can do anything about the games that got ruined when the problem first happened anyway.
We will obviously have the servers back as soon as the company we rent them from have repaired the cable they somehow failmanaged to cut in two...
So i'm going to do what you can imagine Aussie doing in a situation like this.
I opened a bottle of wine and sat back to watch the whine show. Pretty decent so far :)

First picture of GamesCom
Sent to me less than 20 minutes ago. Feels good that our stuff has arrived and looks the way it should!
Day 1 GamesCom
As i was scheduled to travel to Cologne this morning and prepare for GamesCom tomorrow i packed and had everything ready and set last night.
The day started out quite fine, not much sleep but i got up in time. Took a shower. Packed the last of my things like my toothbrush and so forth and prepared to leave.
I double checked my pockets for my passport, boarding pass, keys and phone. Everything was in it's place.
Now, here's the thing, i live on the third floor and i was too lazy to walk down the stairs carrying my luggage so i took the elevator. Best part is that it breaks down about 30cm from the bottom floor locking the doors completely. I can't get out. I can see the light flooding in from the main entrance on what should have been and so far had been a gloriously great day. Great weather, the sun is shining brightly after a weeks worth of shit and piss rain. I'm excited obviously about GamesCom. Looking forward to meeting up with Emmeran finally again, but no.
This godforsaken piece of ******** elevator decides to royally screw me over in the worst way imaginable.
Result is this:
I spend 1½ hours locked in a tiny elevator and end up missing my flight.
New flight is booked at least for later this evening. Thankfully SAS.se aren't the uncompromising douchebags so many other airlines usually are.

Site improvement updates

So now we added a timer of 20 seconds and greyed out the box until that timer is over.
Clearly seperating the 3 simple steps also might help improve this system hopefully. Only time will tell.

- Any clan missing a Clan leader now automatically gets the most advanced member promoted to replace him.
- The order is as follow from lowest to highest:
Member
Advanced member
Veteran
Clan leader
- Veteran members can also accept and remove members from your clan if they are below him in rank according to the above.
- In the games list the corresponding mode icons have been replaced with server country flags for easier overview of which and where the servers are located.
- This means instead of Skadi, butterfly, gg-branch, BoT's etc you will now see the flag of the country the server is located in. We will improve the graphics of teh flags later. Atm it's simply a conceptual design idea.
- Proxy log files in your dotalicious folder have now been re-named so that it's easier to see which one it is you're supposed to give us.
- Improved the account approval setup. It should now be easier to understand what to do since some people simply couldn't understand. I blame this entirely on their inability to read 5 sentences and to properly use their mouse. How they remember to breathe everyday without dying is beyond me...

Day 1 @ Dreamhack
I get the feeling someone put the curse on me to test my patience and gauge my endurance against the devil...
("idle hands are the devils hands" if you've heard that saying before)
6 am is when i get up, the sun is shining at least. But everything after that well...
Bus was late so taxi to the train.
Train was late so extra waiting time there...
I get to jönköping (the city where dreamhack is held) and head down to the hotel, ye np. rooms not ready so 2 hours of waiting in the reception lobby.
I get to Dreamhack, another 9 hours of waiting before i finally can find where our server is supposed to be except it's not in working order. We won't be able to get it running either so that one my main reasons for coming is now down the drain unfortunately.
Business cards weren't shipped in time so i don't have those either on arrival.
Oh, and my seat reservation was fucked up.
I think someone has trolled me good... Better than ever in fact!
On the positiveside though is that i'll be getting a lot more work done today and tomorrow for sure. My apologies again about the server not being available as promised :/
